Look out world, period underwear changes everything!

Let’s break up with single-use period products… they never loved us anyway

Globally, women use and throw away 45 billion pads and tampons every year – and Kiwi women use 11,000 – 17,000 single use period products like pads and tampons in a lifetime.

The down-side of plastic-heavy period products isn’t just the impact on our planet either … tampon use is associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), especially as tampons can cause microtears in the lining of your vagina which let germs in – and many tampons contain nasty dioxin bleach. Pads contain synthetic fragrances which are associated with negative health effects (see our blog post about this) and as much plastic as a supermarket shopping bag!

Then there’s the cost of buying single use products – a lifetime supply of 11,000 – 17,000 pads and/or tampons will reach a total cost of $16,000+. The monthly financial burden is even heavier for households with teenage daughters.

THERE’S A NEW WAY TO MANAGE YOUR FLOW

Introducing our favourite brands of period underwear, AWWA and Australian brand Modibodi:

*TWO COLOURS*

HOW DOES PERIOD UNDERWEAR WORK?

In short, super easily! You slip them on and … that’s it! They have a soft inner layer to wick moisture away from your skin, then an absorbent layer, then a waterproof layer, then the outer layer of the underwear fabric. Ta-da! Comfort, style and reliability. Super easy to wash, just give them a quick cold rinse when you take them off, then wash them as normal in your washing machine. (No fabric softener though okay, it impairs the absorbent fabric technology.)

Reasons we love period pants are:

  • So reliable – the 100% waterproof layer means no worries
  • So comfortable and stylish – they look just like normal undies and the absorbent layer is very thin (very slightly thicker than a normal bikini)
  • So perfect for a good night’s sleep – no leaks, no lying on your side, no loo breaks at midnight
  • Ideal for teens – nothing to insert, no hygiene risk, no leaks and no worries
  • Super for sports – jump, leap, run… period underwear have you covered. In fact, women often wear these undies when running long distance even if they aren’t on their period as they help stop sweat rashes
  • A beautiful option for incontinence and ‘laugh leaks’ if your pelvic floor is a little weak right now
  • Soft and snuggly option for post baby mumma’s … you can even chill them in the freezer for extra relief
  • Period undies make travel so simple! No urgent roadside stops at dodgy loos, no sneaking double wrapped tampons into your host’s bin, just easy wear-and-go technology!

HOW MANY PAIRS DO YOU NEED?

An average period is 30-50 ml over an entire cycle of 3-7 days. A pair of period underwear from AWWA or Modibodi absorbs as much as two regular tampons. That means that over a normal cycle you would use 4-7 regular tampons or pads (fully soaked), or 2-5 pairs of period underwear (but hey, these get washed not thrown away!)

If you have a heavier flow on some days, or you just want extra-extra-extra reassurance that you are protected, you can pair your period underwear underwear with a menstrual cup or eco friendly tampons – we’re ALL about you feeling good about how you manage your period!

Single use period items are so expensive and a burden on our planet. I would love to try I Am Eva to reduce waste, and be more comfortable when on my period. No more itchy pads and icky strings!

  2. Lauren says:

I would love to try these as I don’t bleed enough now because of my contraception choices to use a tampon or pad but always have to use panty liners. These would be so great as I wouldn’t need to throw all that plastic away each time!

  3. Clemence Pelletier says:

I have never tried it before, only reusable pads. I’ve met you in the Go Green expo and I would be happy to try NZ made period undies !

  4. Ayla says:

    PERIOD UNDERWEAR CHANGES EVERYTHING
I have always had trouble using tampons, and then when I tried the cup it wasn’t for me either so I have suffered through pads for years even though theyre uncomfortable, wasteful and even cause rashes, but now I might actually have a chance with these, really intrigued to see how they would go!

  5. Suzanne says:

Would love to try these to be a bit more eco friendly! Due with a baby soon and i don’t think they’ll work right at the start but will be great when the flow gets a bit lighter as I’m sure my skin will be sensitive if i need to wear pads for 6 weeks! 😬

  6. Noel Garcia-Knight says:

This would be the perfect addition to a menstrual cup for me! Continuing to use pads and liners is frustrating; this is the backup I need. And great to use a more local rather than an American brand. I’ve been considering ordering thinx from NYC but shipping products around the world has to be worse for the environment than excessive use of landfills, right?!

  7. Erica van Sint Annaland says:

I just purchased one pair of underwear to try for light bladder leakage after one of my physio clients recommended it for this purpose and it’s a fantastic option to replace daily small pad use 👍👍👍

  8. Kirsten says:

I’ve been keen to try these with my mooncup but can never seem to find the money to invest in them. I currently use cloth pads as a back up and find them bulky and annoying. These would be an amazing alternative!

  9. Deb says:

I would love to try these. I am unable to use a cup so this is the next thing to trial for me for a more eco friendly product that disposables pads.

  10. Sam says:

I love the idea behind this and am all about waste free periods! It is awesome to see a local brand providing women with something to help them gain some confidence during our monthly’s!

  11. Elanor Mathews says:

I would love to try these please ,As I have to wear pads now ,as my periods are so much heavier since I had my tubes removed in April .

  12. Maria says:

Would love to try period underwear and stoked that they come in my size! Having menorrhagia and more environmentally friendly (and eventually wallet friendly) ways of getting through would be fantastic.

  13. Robyn says:

I would really like to try some because I’ve read mixed reviews of other brands, so I’m reluctant to fork out. I already use moon cup & cloth pads (but don’t like wearing cloth pads to work cos they are too sweaty to use)

  14. Tatyanna says:

    PERIOD UNDERWEAR CHANGES EVERYTHING!
Awesome to try this more organic product as allergic to a lot of other alternatives. And also spend a lot of time outdoors tramping and camping so easier than rubbish!!!!

  15. Tracy says:

I would love to try these as I think they would be really useful for heavy days. I have a much heavier flow than what is described as normal and am always worried about leaking.

  16. Gabrielle de Reus says:

I would love to win a set of these! I dance, and while I find reusable pads are really good, they can shift a lot while I’m practicing. Period underwear sounds like the way to go for peace of mind!

  17. Hei Man Poon says:

Ever since I got my period 10 years ago, I have always been using pads and unaware of how much waste I have sent to landfills. I have a heavy period so it doesn’t take long to fill up my rubbish bin in one cycle! Ever since I started becoming more environmentally conscious the beginning of this year, I’ve been trying to play my part in producing less waste. I have been searching around for all types of menstrual products, I have tried the cup twice and still have not mastered it well. For now I am using Oi’s tampons, which are great as they are easy to use, however, due to my heavy flow i always have to put pads on especially the first few days or overnight. If i could get my hands on these underwear I could definitely stop buying pads and that would be awesome!

  18. Amy says:

I’d love to try these, have tried a couple of overseas brands but would prefer to support local. I hate the paper products – they give me dermatitis flare ups. Have tried a cup but not had much luck with it

  19. Katie says:

I would love to give these a try and stop using pads and tampons. They look like they’re comfy and I’d love to be able to suggest them to friends.

  20. Carolyn Lyon says:

I’d like to try these, I have had minimal success with using a moon cup and being a mum to 4 growing girls would like to ensure they look after our planet while feeling comfortable during menstruation.

  21. Jennifer Cauchi says:

I have always been curious about period underwear, so would love the chance to try some out! And save the planet a little bit at a time!

  22. Kent says:

I have 3 daughters and so I am fully aware of the cost to the environment one women’s periods can have on the environment. Also on our budget with 4 females menestrating in our family. Would really love to consider this for my teenage daughter so that she can have her period without worrying up leaks, still being able to do sports and diving (I don’t know if these are safe to swim in?), and get a good nights rest. Thanks for the info from an involved and intrigued dad of girls.

  23. Nicole says:

I use a menstrual cup but have a very heavy flow on days 1-3. I’m changing my cup every 30-45min and there’s can be major leakage if I don’t find a bathroom in time to empty it. I would really love to try these period underwear as a backup so that I can experience more peace of mind and confidence. Thank you for considering me.

  24. Mara says:

I have three daughters, and I’d love to give them each a pair to try. We are on a sustainability journey and making significant progress. I think Eva undies would be a solid next step.

  25. Katherine says:

I would love to try these please because my current solution to ‘period undies’ is to wear my old holey undies with barely enough elastic left to keep them up. I have heavy flow and would love the peace of mind that these could give me – and especially take away the hassle of getting up during the night on shark week!!

  26. Heidi G. says:

My daughter is rapidly approaching puberty and I would love to have these for her first steps into adulthood. There is going to be immense pressure on her generation to fix the environmental mistakes of her forebears, and knowing there is an amazing waste free Kiwi brand taking care of their menstrual needs is a sizeable step in the right direction!!

  27. Sass Innes says:

I switched to a cup over a year ago with a bit of trepidation, best thing ever as it turns out…after a few cycles of getting my head (and body) around it. Have been so wanting to try period underwear for lighter days to compliment the cup – hard to choose though when there are so many brands available and all a fairly big $ investment just to try, gets confusing knowing where to jump in. Would be stoked to win these!

  28. Jacqui says:

I’ve been using period undies for about 7 years now, only they’re an American brand and in need of replacing. I would love to support a kiwi brand and give my opinion on them since I would consider myself as an “experience” period undie consumer 😉
Plus I love how they are trying to end period poverty!!

  29. Emily says:

Super keen to try, using a cup is great, but I go from super heavy to super light so have been eyeing up a pair for the second half of cycle.

  30. Abby says:

Oh my gosh! Would love to try these out and see how they feel – no doubt if they’re amazing like I hope they are, I’ll probably swap out my entire drawer for a good set. I’ve always been sceptical, but so keen to try 🙂

  31. Phoebe says:

I would really love to try I Am Eva to be more environmentally conscious! I have a menstrual cup but haven’t gotten it to work with me and it’s just not something I feel very comfortable using. Which sucks because I feel awful every time I buy a new pack of pads knowing that I’m contributing to waste. I think I Am Eva could be the product for me, but as a full time student it’s hard to save the money to buy a full cycle’s worth, so I haven’t been able to give them a try yet. I’d love to win the competition and get to start using them!

  32. Briar says:

I really want to give these a go as I am on a journey to becoming more environmentally conscious. I have tried two different cup brands and can’t seem to get them to work so this would be an excellent alternative, or would at least give me more confidence in giving the cup a go without having to use single use liners. Almost put this is my cart on my last Oh Natural order but wasn’t in the budget 🙂

  33. Charleigh says:

I’ve been wanting to try period underwear for a while but just haven’t got the money to do so. I think they’d be awesome for work, especially on the heavier days when I end up feeling a bit uncomfortable wearing my larger sized pads, I worry people will see it through my trousers. I’ve read such good things about these and how comfortable they are and they’d totally eliminate the need to wear massive pads in public

  34. Rachel says:

I would love to try these not only for periods but because since having my second baby a couple of weeks ago, my pelvic floor isn’t what it used to be!

  35. Christina L says:

Firstly they look amazing, like first class lingerie, secondly the purpose they are fit for sounds intriguing. I think you get the whole package with these undies and I would love to be your number 1 customer for years to come

  36. Ashleigh says:

After having my baby, I’m focusing on reducing our single use products in our life. Menstrual cups aren’t practical in my working life so I’m keen to try these as a more practical option.

  37. Anna says:

I would love to win these! I have tried to reduce my period waste by trying a cup but it hasn’t worked for me. So would love to give these a go!

  38. Katie says:

I would love to try these I’m currently pregnant about to give birth and the thought of post pregnancy bleeding scares me after our first kid I bleed for three months straight and that was a lot of pads and a huge cost when we just had a newborn and dropped to one income. These would be a life saver!!

  39. Justy says:

This is the first time I have heard of these. What a brilliant idea. Saves money in the long run not having to buy pads all the time. Plus they look comfortable and the leak free part is a major plus esp for night time.

  40. Jackie Gardiner says:

It would be great to get these for my daughter she has been thinking about buying them for a while. Great that they are local too !

  41. Kimberlee Bennett says:

I’ve wanted to try these but have been weary to make a big investment in them. I’d love to be able to try a pair before buying a full set.

  42. Bronwyn says:

Very keen to try these myself. I’ve been looking into these for a while but am yet to take the plunge. O feel these would be the next step in reducing my waste, helping the environment and also great for while travelling.

  43. Ange says:

I’d love to try them, I hate using pads because of the waste factor but after having kids, there’s no other option that works for me. I’ve spent a small fortune on menstrual cups and I can’t use them either. I feel like these undies would be life changing for me!

  44. Maria says:

Would love not having to set my alarm every two hours during the night to get up to change… and not having sore hips for lying on my sides… ugh the agony…. so I would truly love to try these please….

  45. Emma says:

I’d love to try these to reduce waste, I hate throwing away so much every month, I’ve started using a cup but would love the backup peace of mind 🙂

  46. P McGrath says:

Peace of mind! I use a moon cup and I love it but I still have to use regular tampons after day two, if I won these It would solve that issue and I would be helping the planet and the bank balance!

  47. Kimba says:

Would love to win these period panties, for my sixteen year old daughter, who is unable to use tampons, so has to wear bulky pads, which make her feel even more self conscious, then she already is!

  48. Gina Lowden says:

Over the last year I’ve become more and more aware of the toxins we put on and in our bodies. Trying to slowly make changes to rid myself of those products that can cause harm, to myself and to the environment. Would love to give these a try so I no longer have to buy horrible tampons and pads!!

  49. Penny says:

I would love to win this for my daughter. I really want to encourage her to use products that are natural and healthy for her body. As a plus of course is that these are environmentally friendly too!

  50. Tine says:

I’ve been wanting to try these for some time but the cost has held me back so far… This would be an awesome opportunity to finally give them a go!

  51. Amber says:

    PERIOD UNDERWEAR CHANGES EVERYTHING.

Oh I would looooove to try some. I do plan on sticking up once I’m back working. Currently down on one income post having my second baby and trying to find work.

But it’s hard and we are on a string tight budget. So those are a super luxury item we don’t have spare money for currently.

  52. Luana says:

Currently making the transition to waste free periods! I recently bought a period cup but really struggled with it – gonna take a bit of getting used to, so I LOVE the idea of period proof underwear for the ease & comfort!

  53. Sara Pennington says:

I’d love to have these at the end of periods when I don’t want to wear the menstrual cup. Also they look pretty and I wave to know how well they work. 🙂

  54. Melissa says:

I use cloth nappies full time and have recently converted to a cup but while I sort out exactly which is the right cup for me I’m getting leaks and end up using a pad as back up. These would be a way better option!

  55. Chanie says:

Would love to win some for my daughter who is super sporty. Menstrual cups and liners aren’t always the easiest. Some days your body just goes year-nah. Would love to make her life easier.

  56. Crystal says:

I’d love to try these! I currently use a mooncup and have an array of reusable cotton pads, but need something with more coverage for night time!

  57. Miriam Jones says:

Period underwear changes everything! I’d love to win these, been trying to cut down on all things plastic and toxic and throwing out the pads for good is the next step! 🌍

  58. Trishy Mnop says:

I like the idea that you are not only reducing plastic waste, and buying into consumerism, but you’re also reducing the exposure of chemicals against your skin and reducing the common rashes that you’re left with at the end of your cycle. Post baby I’ve been left with heavier cycles, that typically take longer to finish so I’m all for trying a system that benefits both my self, my future and the environment and I hope this leads to normalizing periods.

  59. Victoria says:

I would love to try these, I have wanted to for ages. I have used tampons and a cup but always felt more comfortable with a pad but want to be more environmentally friendly!

  60. Melayna says:

    Period underwear change everything!!!
I currently only own one pair of period underwear. That one pair makes me feel free and comfortable for one day of my otherwise horrible period.

  61. Elle says:

I’m so keen to try these! I’ve heard so many wonderful things about them, but they are still definitely an investment to start with. I’ve tried the cups and haven’t loved them. I currently use cloth pads, but I’m super sporty and they are so not practical or comfortable. Maybe these undies are the solution?!?

  62. Aimee says:

I recently bought some pairs of Modibodi maternity underwear and they have been a game changer for my pregnancy, they are super comfy, absorbent, and all I want to wear. I also want to purchase a couple more and some post-birth options so would absolutely love to win this prize! Highly recommend!

  63. Jessy Davenport says:

Being in the outdoors all day every day is mostly a blessing…until that time of the month… and then you just wish you were in an office!!
These would be a game changer for me

  64. Neats says:

I haven’t been able to go back to tampons since my son was born so these would be handy, I’m a bit sensitive to EVERYTHING lol.. Also curious to see how these work on a heavy flow! x

  65. Tammie says:

Yes please! 😍💕 I’d love to try I have Endometriosis and very sensitive skin so tampons are a no go and pads are difficult on my skin 😔

  66. Elena says:

I would love to try these out, to have a waste free period. I find my reusable liners too thick and warm, so I think these would be much closer to just wearing normal underwear, especially the first few days when a bit of back up is reassuring even if I’m using a cup

  67. Kaye says:

Would like to try this interesting product and help out in reducing use of disposable pads. Love to patronize these kind of products that support the conservation of our earth. Kudos to the team!

  68. sarah schultz says:

I would love an opportunity to try this! I hate the though of periods being associated with waste. I’ve been using a menstrual cup but would love something more comfortable to sleep in.

  69. Hannah says:

Yes please!!! I would love to try this as I cant use tampons or a cup and sometimes my period comes out of nowhere so these undies would be so helpful.

  70. Kim says:

I’ve bought these for my daughter and they’re fabulous! I’m being forced through menopause through chemotherapy, but after 3 beautiful babes I could sometimes do with these…

  71. Tarsh says:

I would love to give these a go, they seem like great planet and cost saving idea but I have no idea how they would work – on the fence until I try them

    • Angela Patterson says:

I keep seeing them and I love that they are a NZ company created by women who are fighting against period poverty💪🏻 Also wanna help reduce waste and save our beautiful planet😊

  72. Gee says:

I would love to win these as I have been wanting to try them. Being a solo mum and needing to save money where possible, these would be brilliant for my mate!

  73. Julia Raynes says:

I have 1pair and I need more in my life! Total game changer!!! I have endometriosis and my period underwear works as extra security in case of a ‘heavy rush’ during my period. I also use a cup and these are much more comfortable to wear with my cup than pads are

  74. Tara says:

I would love to own these undies! I want to feel like my period is just part of living another day. I don’t want my period to feel like a burden on the environment, my expenses and my lifestyle. These are such a great invention!

  75. Rebecca says:

I’d love to find a more sustainable way of managing my period. I’ve tried a cup but found it awkward to manage plus my flow is quite light for half the time making it less suitable. These ‘I am Eva’ undies look like they might just work 🙂

  76. Ella says:

I would love to get Miss 15 into some good eco friendly habits and she’s really keen to give it a go!
Unfortunately a cup (or anything else worn internally) isn’t an option for her and she doesn’t like they way reusable pads button underneath. I’m really hoping period underwear is the perfect solution for her.

  77. Sarah Stone says:

I’d love to try period underwear, I have al says been a tampon user, but am trying to live more sustainably by reducing all single use product. I also get irregular periods and get caught out. With period underwear I could wear them leading up to my period as an insurance policy, unlike tampons.

  78. Anna says:

I’d love to give I Am Eva a go because I have endo which means really painful and heavy periods. Using anything internally irritates and causes more pain 😞

  79. Alice says:

Oh I’d love to win these! I’ve just starting using a cup after getting my period back Post baby. Total game changer! Next step – period undies for night time!

  80. Sarah says:

These would be so great for when you think your due to start your period as better alternative to liners. Also as backup on heavier days. Would love to try these out 🙂

  81. Amby says:

I have recently started using a cup with cloth liners as back up especially on the heavy days, but the liners always wriggle back when I go for long walks! I would love to try period underwear and will eventually buy some for my daughters when the time comes.

  82. Tabby says:

I have a heavy flow and have always leaked at night at least once during my monthly. It makes me have really anxious sleeps and I wake up exhausted. It’s also embarrassing when I stay over anywhere that’s not my own bed ☹️ I’ve not purchased any period underwear yet because I’m terrified it won’t work for me, but I’d love to win some to try out!

  83. Grace says:

I would love to try another alternative to zero waste period products. I recently bought a hello cup and still find myself needing a panty liner with it.

  84. Lani Cotterill says:

Interested and intrigued to try these! I’m a newish moon cup user and it would be great to take it one step further by ditching the need for liners etc

  85. Keight Hunter says:

I would love to win these to pair with my cup. Would be really happy to reduce my pad use to zero. Thanks for the opportunity!!! 💕

  86. Tash says:

These I Am Eva would be a game changer for me! I’m ditching single use plastic and love using Eco friendly products and also fit my family of 5 budget! They look comfy and pretty so it’s a win win.

  87. Stephanie Harper says:

I’ve always been curious to try periods undies but have been putting it off due to cost (and uncertainties about how well they work). My moon cup leaks a lot (I have extra heavy periods) and I end up having to use pads, so the point of a moon cup is defeated. These undies would be so cool to try and would be another tool in my “waste free” arsenal. Great giveaway!

  88. Carly says:

I’ve used a cup for 12 years+ but haven’t tried period underwear yet! I feel like these would be perfect for overflow/light days. Really keen to try them out and see how they feel

  89. Sarah says:

This would be excellent! I’m really keen to use period underwear for postpartum in a couple of months. This would be so much nicer than the million pads it feels like are needed! And then going forward it sounds like they’ll make life easier, especially at night!

  90. Gwyneth says:

I do a lot of outdoor work and while a moon cup is awesome a bit of leakage can happen and it’s not nice carrying pads for many days in your pack…! Also a friend has these and rates them highly!

  91. Melissa Gawn says:

My daughter is coming to this age and I am wanting to get her some of these. I am jealous of her having all these amazing options I didn’t have as a young girl.

  92. Emma says:

I am trying to rid of any products I can that go to landfill, find great alternatives to things I need to use and then tell other people about the awesome products and get them doing the same!

  93. Elly says:

I would love to win a pair for me and my mother as we both would definitely benefit from this amazing product! She has always had an issue with normal pads etc and always worrying about leakage but this under wear sounds like it is from the period gods! Haha definitely would love to own a pair and win a pair for mama xx

  94. Monique Woodford says:

I’d love to win these to ditch the pads for good! I’ve been a cup user for a few years now, but need that back up on the heavy days. These would have me set!!!

  95. K-Leigh says:

I have last week was the first time I used a moon cup to save the environment and my pocket, and I LOVE it! But it made me realise that I still use panty liners which is my next elimination step and these undies would be purrrfect!!! I would like to gift a pair to my soul sister too! <3

  96. Lee says:

Interested to try these! Would be awesome to not have to buy tampons and pads which would also reduce waste as well as the chemicals and nasties found in tampons!!!

  97. Greer Williams says:

I would love to try these, I have recently started looking at alternatives to single use period waste and these look like the perfect night time wear or for those evenings or meetings where I dont want to be stressed or worried about leaks!

  98. Chloe says:

Having period proof undies would be such a stress relief especially at school so you don’t have to do the awkward pull the pad out the bag 🙂 Would love a few pairs of these as such a great eco option!

  99. Shandre says:

I’ve just ditched the traditional pads and tampons, for a menstrual cup and I am delighted! The only thing is that on the light days of menstruation, I don’t want to wear it, I also don’t want to wear panty liners cause they’re equivalent to pads. Therefore I NEED something like this for the light days and nights!

  100. Saffron Brown says:

I love my period undies. I wear them as back up to a cup or when my flow is light. The I AM EVA underwear look stylish and comfortable. I would gift these on to my daughter when she starts her period.

    • Glenda Hall says:

Would love to win a pair to use in combination with my cup. Be great in the days leading up to my period when I’m a bit paranoid about getting spotting and a backup to my cup on the heavy days especially when I’m at the gym.

  101. Sharon says:

Period underwear changes everything. I like the fact that they are eco friendly on the environment,
and helps with incontinence also. I would love a set of these.

  102. Ana says:

I would love to try these! I have heard so many great reviews and think it’s such a fantastic idea, the perfect lazy girls way of getting through her period!

    • Angela says:

I keep seeing them and I love that they are a NZ company created by women who are fighting against period poverty💪🏻 Also wanna help reduce waste and save our beautiful planet😊

  103. Sally Carey says:

Wow I’m impressed. These sound like the perfect solution. Would love to try, especially with 3 Daughters approaching this stage soon, it would be great to be armed with knowledge and experience to coach them into environmentally sound choices of their own. I’m thinking they’d feel more secure with options like this

  104. Natasha says:

Sorry I accidentally sent through another comment and now Ive had the original deleted, I’d love to enter please 😁 can you pop it back on? Thanks

  105. Rori says:

Period underwear changes everything! I’m currently in the beginning of my journey into more environmentally appropriate/friendly products. I’ve made the switch to a bar shampoo, reusable razor and razor blades. I feel like I am making a difference, but each time my time of the month comes around, I am not using products that are environmentally friendly. I want to explore the period care that is on offer, but as a University student it is hard. Is it rent or is it reusable period underwear? The rent always wins. So the I am Eva giveaway would really help me find my feet in more environmentally friendly period care when my time of the month comes!

  106. Noemi says:

Would love to try these because they would make my Journey to less waste so much easier. I really appreciate companies who bring excitment back to our Periods. Go I AM EVA <3

  107. Gretchen says:

My periods became awful after my second child, but menstrual cups have made life bearable (woohoo, I love them!). But I still need pads, which don’t ever feel great (disposable or reusable!) so I’d love to try these pants and hopefully feel more comfortable in my skin again at that time of month.

  108. Rachael says:

I’ve tried these and they are great, but I’d love to win this for my daughter so she can use them right from when her periods begin.

  109. Carla says:

I love this idea. I use a moon cup currently and would consider swapping to period proof underwear but it’s hard to find underwear that fits me just right. Would be willing to try though!

  110. Micky says:

After having a baby my period changed. She comes in quickly and heavier than ever before. To have that insurance that I’m covered and can still get on with my life as normal is everything!

  111. Annie says:

Would love to win and try out these amazing sounding undies! They look so comfy plus would mean I could stop using tampons and pads win win!

  112. Emily says:

  113. Kelly says:

I have three daughters and my eldest is nearing the age where periods begin. I’d like to try these to see whether this would be a viable option for me to buy for my daughters to start using when they get their periods.

  114. Sinea says:

I would love love love to win these. Am currently pregnant with number 2 and you know what lovely things happen when you are pregnant 😏 extra mess and I don’t want to use any disposable liners. Would also be so handy for after baby comes as a back up to all the blood that usually finds it’s way around your after birth nappies 😂 also to pair with my amazing HelloCup once everything gets back to normal.
    Thanks for the opportunity xx

  118. Holly says:

I am currently in my 3rd trimester with my second child, and as with the first, bladder weakness is an issue. Period underwear didn’t exist when I had my first child, and now that I have discovered I Am Eva, i have purchased a pair already for my second pregnancy & they will be great for postpartum gym workouts. I found going to the gym after my first child showed just how weak my pelvic floor muscles had gotten & I had to wear a pad, and felt it was very bulky and could be seen through my gym leggings, so I always felt insecure. Thank goodness for I Am Eva undies! They will be a staple in my life now

  119. Nic says:

I love that we moving in the right direction towards the reduction and education of waste that is generated by that time of the month. I even feel because of the changes in what is available to woman, we are talking about it more openly, and creating less stigma that it is a taboo topic.
I’m pleased about the role period underwear is playing in this development, and what it means for future generations of woman.

  120. Ellie says:

I love my pairs of period underwear by I Am Eva! They are a perfect alternate to my menstrual cup, especially for night time wear, or doubling up on protection against leakage.

  123. Ayla says:

I’ve never had luck with tampons, I’ve tried the cup to reduce waste but same issues as I had with tampons 😞 I’ve been using pads instead but often get a rash from them also, these would be so cool to try I’m interested to see how they go!

  124. Anna Tu says:

We started using cloth nappies for our babies so it would be hypocritical for me not to use period undies! I’d love to use these to continue my journey to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future for us all!

  125. Makayla says:

I would like to win as i get my period roughly every two weeks 🙁 This unfortunately adds up to a lot of waste & while i have tried using a menstrual cups, i much prefer the idea of period underwear!!!

  126. Jen Webb-Bowen says:

Just perfect for the shift into more mindful consumption and away from the single use mentality. I’ve been wanting to give it a go, but seems like quite a decent investment when I’m still a little unsure. Always up for trying something different though!

  127. Sarah says:

I am really done with pads and tampons, so much easier just to wear comfy underwear and not to worry about leaking, not to say how much money it’ll save and so good for keeping environment safe

  148. Yani says:

With 4 daughters (ages 18 to 10), traditional period product will cost the earth, pun intended and us a small fortune. Also, recently I had become quite sick which stopped my periods for a while so from then on I have become very vigilant in what products I use, wear and what I eat, so many people don’t realise how dangerous most products are for your health and especially when it involves your reproduction system. This is such a great idea!
