To apply, just scoop out onto your toothbrush. Use a soft toothbrush and no water when using, take your time brushing, then rinse with warm water.
If the paste goes firm in winter simply mix in 5ml of hot water using the back of a teaspoon. This will soften immediately. Repeat as required.

Couldn’t get past the taste unfortunately so am unsure about the results! Love that it’s natural and sustainable packaging though.

Have been waiting to give a review for after my dentist appointment. I’ve been using the toothpaste for about six months (the same one lasted forever though got a bit gooey towards the very end) and got a clear bill of tooth health. It takes a bit of getting used to but I felt fresh and clean after using it each time and it feels a hell of a lot better chucking it into the recycling after six months vs chucking out a toothpaste tube every month.

As this is the first time i’ve switched from normal toothpaste, I guess I was expecting this product to mirror that but with natural ingredients. This is not sweet or minty as I expected with the listing of peppermint and xylitol. It has a nice texture and aftertaste. My teeth feel super clean afterwards. The flavour while not what I’m used too is pretty good, kind of like a less potent baking soda taste if that helps. I would definitely recommend if you can’t be bothered making your own.

I’ve been using healtheries smokers toothpaste for years because it leaves your teeth feeling as clean as your first ever tooth, but I want to eliminate waste so tried this out.
First off, the taste and texture take some getting used to. It’s a bit aniseedy – which is the xylitol, I think – and if it’s cold which it often is in Queenstown it’s becomes a hard not soft paste. BUT… once you get used to it, it’s actually alright. As soon as you swirl water, the taste changes and become sweeter. It’s weird but also something to look forward to.
My teeth still feel fresh, and I can truly say it does a good job of cleaning.
Added bonus – I think it’ll last for a long time. We might go through a toothpaste every 3 weeks but I reckon this’ll last me ages.
