“I've always used expensive skincare. This is up there with the absolute best.”

Well, technically, Vicky said something even better. And her email absolutely made my week. Possibly my whole month, haha.

A wee while back, I sent a lovely customer called Vicky two full-sized Oh Natural skincare products to try in exchange for an honest review: our Main Character Energy Face Cream and Energy Shift Hydrating Facial Mist.

When her email arrived, I was rather delighted.

Now, obviously I think our skincare is pretty wonderful (I'd be a terrible person to have running this business if I didn't 😂), but there's something quite special about hearing that someone else REALLY loves the products too.

And one part of Vicky's email in particular made me VERY happy...

Can affordable natural skincare really compete with expensive skincare?

Here's what Vicky had to say:

As a small, New Zealand-owned skincare business, this is exactly the sort of feedback I love receiving.

Because while we've put an enormous amount of thought into creating beautiful, high-quality natural skincare, I also believe that looking after your skin shouldn't have to involve spending a small fortune.

And hearing that someone who's used plenty of expensive skincare considers ours right up there with the best? Well, that's a pretty wonderful compliment.

A natural face cream for mature, menopausal skin

Vicky also shared how her skin was feeling after a week of using our face cream.

“My face is fully hydrated, nourished, plumped and glowing after a week of using this delightful cream. I love the light uplifting rose scent and the light texture and feel on the face with hydration that stays.”

She described the experience as particularly lovely for her mature, menopausal skin.

I love that she mentioned both how her skin felt and how much she enjoyed using the cream.

Because a beautiful moisturiser should be a pleasure to apply, not just another step to tick off your skincare routine.

The hydrating face mist that became a little moment of calm

Next up was our Energy Shift Hydrating Facial Mist, and I especially loved how Vicky described using it throughout her day.

She told me she spritzes it on whenever she wants a skin boost, before or after moisturising, and even after applying makeup for a more natural, dewy finish.

But this was my favourite part:

“It's also perfect for a pampering moment for yourself, just spritz and take a calming breath in.”

YES. Exactly that.

Because that's really what Oh Natural and our whole Feel Good Beauty philosophy are about.

Beautiful skincare that works, of course, but also those little moments in the day where looking after yourself just feels really, really good.

Not because your skin needs fixing, or because you need to look younger, or because there's something about your face that needs improving.

Just because it's nice to feel good in your own skin.

And sometimes, a little spritz of face mist and a deep breath is a perfectly lovely place to start.

From trying Oh Natural to gifting it to friends

As if Vicky's email wasn't already lovely enough, she finished by telling me she was planning to order some of our Welcome Ritual Mini Kits as Christmas gifts for her friends.

Which was a rather wonderful cherry on top.

There's something especially nice about hearing that someone has enjoyed your skincare enough to want to share it with people they love.
