Handmade in Aotearoa NZ, the tapered cut design of our keeper helps to prolong the life of your daily bar products and support zero-waste living.

Made from reclaimed New Zealand Rimu floorboards. Sealed with natural Tung oil.

The large size keeper is helpful for storing larger woodenware like dish brushes or toothbrushes with ample drainage to keep them moisture-free.

Each keeper is unique and will vary in terms of the grain, knots and patina from previous life as a floorboard. That’s what makes them so special.

Care for your soap keeper by leaving it to dry in the sunshine or fresh air. Brush and rinse off soap residue when needed.

Additional Information about the Rimu Soap Keepers

The rimu soap keepers can occasionally leave some colouration on surfaces as a result of the high amounts of natural resins present within the timber. The rimu used for these products is ‘heart rimu’ which is located near the centre of the tree trunk. ‘Heart rimu’ is considered the best quality rimu due to its strength and beautiful rich colour and grain, provided by the natural resins of the tree.

The colouration does go away over time and is non toxic. The soap keepers are sealed in natural tung oil which is non toxic and does not ‘bleed out’ or cause discolouration.

Measures approximately 250mm x 100mm x 19mm.

Very disappointed in this soap dish. I have very sensitive skin so I bought a few bars of soap from here and tried to dry them on this soap dish. The varnish transferred to the soap and we even had brown soapy water running down from the draining grooves. A complete waste of money and on top of that it ruined the 3 bars of soap I bought. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

Love to look of this in my bathroom, but unfortunately the smell of the varnish on it is so so intense and strong it has permeated into my soaps & shampoo bars and ruined them. Had to throw them away as smelled like I was washing myself in varnish/chemicals.
