Why the Hello Cup?
The Hello Cup is proudly made and designed in New Zealand using top notch medical grade TPE (a type of plastic) imported from Germany. We feel strongly that when it comes to your vjayjay, you only want to put trustworthy stuff up there (sound advice from our grandmothers). Yes, there are other menstrual cups out there, but not all cups are created equal. The Hello Cup is in a league of its own.
Find out more about The Hello Cup including tips on how to use them and how to pick the right size for you on their YouTube Channel.
Sizing
The Hello Cup comes in three sizes – S, M and L.
Working out what size you are can be tricky – we are all so different!
Our most popular size is M. As a rule of thumb we recommend M for women who are under 35 who haven’t given birth. Fit women often find M is best for them regardless of age and whether they’ve had children. The L is a good choice if you have given birth, are over 35 years old. The Hello Cup S is slightly smaller and softer than the M. It is designed specifically for younger users.
Sometimes it’s a case of trial and error. For example, if your M Hello Cup is opening but you get leakage, you might need to go up a size. On the other hand if you find your L won’t open – you might need to go down a size. If you are unsure of size, we recommend getting a double box to help take the guess work out of things. Our ‘pick ‘n’ mix’ option allows you to purchase a Hello Cup box with any two cups in it for $69. Many women find they can wear both sizes so opt for the smaller sized Hello Cup on light days and the larger one on heavy days.
The diameter of the M is 41mm and the overall length, including the toggle, is 59mm. It holds 21mls (to the holes).
The diameter of the L is 45mm and the overall length, including the toggle, is 64mm. It holds 28ml (to the holes).

I have tried using a menstrual cup before in the past and it wasn’t for me – always leaked, felt uncomfortable, always on edge about an incident – but then my friend suggested trying Hello Cup and it genuinely is WORLD’S APART – I’ve never had any leaks, felt easy to insert and confident wearing them. Have never looked back and would encourage anyone looking at switching to cups to give this one a go!

First time user. Super easy once you are used to taking it in and out. Definitely way better than tampons!

First time cup user and I only wish I’d tried it a long time go. Chose the Hello Cup brand since it’s a NZ company and I love its values that are inclusive to all bodies that menstruate. Absolutely love the hello cup. Bought the set so I could try two sizes and so far I’ve only happily used one . Truely easy for me to insert and remove.

My hello cup and I have not been best friends straight off but with perseverance and patience I can now slide it in and out a breeze and no leaks! Better for the environment which makes it even cooler woohoo!!

First time using a cup and absolutely love it! You can’t even tell that it’s there once in (It is a little bit niggly getting it in at first but with practise becomes easier). I also found that it holds a lot more than a tampon.

Happy these cups worked out for me, I was so nervous at first. Definitely recommend doing some research re how to insert and remove the cups, and either do in shower or use lube to begin with. As a first cup, definitely stoked with the result. So so so much better than tampons!

I LOVE my Hello Cup. It takes the hassle out of having to remember tampons and pads, and it’s so much more cost effective – not to mention it’s better for the planet and it’s made in NZ! A tip from me for using these for the first time is to practise using it in at home in the shower.

I purchased all three sizes and all three leaked and did not work. I have used a cup years ago and could swim run etc no issues. Very disappointed and out of pocket $150 ouch.

Hi Rose, I am so sorry that this has happened to you and I completely understand your situation and how frustrated you must be. The Hello Cup and ourselves have been trying to get in touch via email to help sort this out as we really want to put it right and find out more about the issues you’ve been having. The girls at The Hello Cup are keen to hear from you so it would be great if you could reply back to them or myself if you get this message. Thank you and I hope we can make this right for you. Cheers, Kate ox

I bought the small/medium and large dual pack. I was a bit sceptical about this product in the beginning, it just sounded to good to be true. But this cup is fantastic – does the job without any leaks or odour, and not only saves me money (no longer need to buy tampons and pads every single month) but it saves the environment as well (none of those said tampons and pads going into the landfill). A bonus is that once it’s in, it’s so comfortable and discreet that I forget that it’s there. Can’t say the same for the disposable products. Would definitely recommend.

Omg I love it! Wish I’d tried one earlier.
So quick, clean and easy and totally undeserving of all the anxiety I’d built up over the years about the thought of trying one.
I actually feel completely free to do whatever I want, and wear whatever I want regardless of my cycles.

Most comfortable menstrual cup I’ve owned!!! I have been using the larger size for heavier days and when I’m doing high intensity workouts to make sure it doesn’t leak and stays in place. Both are very comfortable because they don’t have any outer ridges or a thick outer lip. I was worried this might compromise the seal but they seal fine. Other cups seal a little too well and can be difficult to remove or uncomfortable while in, but it’s easy to break the Hello Cup seal for removal and it doesn’t feel like it’s tugging on your cervix. Very happy with this purchase 😀

I decided to try using a cup and tried the Hello cup and got the combo giving my daughter the smaller one. WOW what a game changer. After many years of many troubles with heavy periods ( I have since had a thermal oblation so my life is much easier now) I wish I had one of these years ago. I tell all the girls I can to give these a go. I’m just about to get a new set and give my daughter the bigger one and Ill keep the smaller one for lighter days. I love that there are NO leaks.

This is a very good cup for a beginner cup user! Once I learnt to insert it properly it was a breeze to use, it easily forms a seal once inside and doesn’t leak at all. I found the stem to be a perfect shape for me, and the cup itself fits me well. I’m thankful that there is the option to buy two different sizes together, as I had no idea what size I would be (having never used a cup before). I highly recommend the Hello cup to a newbie who is starting out with cups, or someone who wants a firm yet flexible cup which seals very well.

somehow managed to order this at great timing so got to use it as soon as it arrived! Have only had it for 2 days and already love it! Was expect it to take a bit of getting used to but I found it really easy! So happy with this just wish I’d bought it sooner!!

I really wanted to love this cup. It is absolutely beautiful and I love everything about the brand and what they want to achieve. However, I found the cup far too firm for me. It was hard to insert without leaks and if I did manage to pop it in properly I really struggled to get it out again. I’ll try again with a softer cup.

love it

First of all, this is the cutest cup I’ve even seen! Before the Hello cup I was using Lunette which is a much softer cup. The Hello cup is quite a bit firmer and takes a little getting used to. Once you get used to it, it is amazing! I’ve had no leakage at all using this one, I highly recommend it! 🙂

Love this cup!! I was a bit nervous at first and it took a couple of tries to get used to it but a menstrual cup is life changing! Love love love that you can wear them overnight with no stress, I’ve never had any problems with leakage or anything. Definitely recommend – if you’ve been umming and ahhing trying one give it a go!!

THIS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!!! I was so skeptical at first, but they are so easy to use. Can keep them in over night, I’ve had no issues in terms of leakage or anything. 10:/10 will recommend to anyone and everyone.

I have used other cups before with mixed results (often had leaking issues) but the hello cup is incredible! Zero leaks, perfect fit, super comfortable. Love that it is made in NZ too.

I got the combo option. Very comfortable to use, totally recommend!

Takes a bit of time to learn how to use the cup properly. But once mastered, it makes menstruation so much easier. No odours, leaking, rash or plastic waste. I use reusable pads/liners for a better peace of mind. And I’m really grateful for the helpful online support for women.

I saw so many great reviews on this cup & being NZ made with such pretty colours I decided to buy it. However, it just wasn’t for me, I found the cups were too hard/firm for me and I had a really hard time with inserting them (I also really didn’t like the stem). After doing more research I now know I should have gone for a much softer cup.
Really gutted as I wanted to like these so much. I also found their website a little vague compared to the other menstrual cup websites which are chocka full informative.

I wasn’t sure what size menstral cup to use for the first time and I didn’t want to send $$$ on the wrong size for me. So it is AMAZING that you get a small and medium size for the price of one ( doing my research some other brands are $$$$$$$$) so you can try both sizes to get the right fit OR have a small for a lighter flow and a medium for a heavier flow. I really love these cups and highly recommend them. Plus they are a kiwi brand so great to support them!!
