Tahi Oils – Marino
This multipurpose facial, scalp, hair & body oil is super calming and healing – perfect for anyone with sensitive skin, scars, skin conditions and dry skin. I use Tahi’s Marino Oil it as a facial cleanser and face oil morning and night, and as a hair oil and a body oil as needed, and it leaves my skin soft, supple & hydrated. I’ve found it great for combating skin breakouts and dry skin, and Bevan also uses it as a body oil for his eczema. I also love that Tahi’s products are batch made in NZ and owned & run by a kiwi woman with lots of love and care and smells divine!
The Herb Farm – Soothe & Repair Cream
Both Bevan, myself and his kids use this cream for all sorts of things! It’s another great multipurpose product in that it can be used as a hand cream, body cream, face cream and is suitable for the whole family, including babies! Bevan gets bad eczema in the winter and uses this to help combat it and it works a treat! Sometimes when I feel like my face is super dry I add some to my skincare routine for some extra hydration. I also love using it on my hands when they are super dry and the whole family use it for cuts, scrapes and skin irritations such as itchy bites. Oh and I love the smell of it! It smells so fresh and earthy so is a treat to use! The Herb Farm is another great kiwi, women owned and run brand that’s been around for a long time so they are tried and true in their products.
Mukti Organics – Marigold Hydrating Creme
Mukti is a newer brand for Oh Natural and this is the first Mukti product I’ve used, aside from samples I’ve tried, and I’ve been really enjoying how hydrating and nourishing it is. I use it under my Tahi Marino Oil to add extra hydration, especially in winter and it leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated. It’s also very soothing and calming for irritated skin so is suitable for anyone with sensitive skin. Mukti is also a female owned organic skincare brand dedicated to making organic, natural beauty formulations that deliver results.
Loveskin – Kakara Toning Rose Mist
I have used this Toning Mist for a few years now and absolutely love how it feels on my skin when I apply it. It’s so hydrating and refreshing! I use it before I apply my Mukti Marigold Hydrating Creme after I’ve washed my face to ensure my face is as hydrated as possible before I put the rest of my skincare products on. It also smells divine and is batch made in NZ with spray free Damascena Rose Hydrosol so you know it’s got no nasties in it! Loveskin is another fab local, kiwi, women owned brand.
Neat Naturals – Skinperfection Daily Mineral Cleanser & Makeup Remover
Personally, I prefer oil cleansers as part of my skincare routine as I find, generally speaking, they are less drying than other types of cleansers. Neat’s Skinperfection Cleanser ticks this box and is a super nourishing and hydrating oil cleanser that leaves your skin feeling super soft and not super dry. The Kaolin Clay is a gentle exfoliator and the natural oils are super nourishing, soothing, healing and hydrating for any type of skin including sensitive skin. And yes, oil cleansers are also great for oily skin! Oh and it can also be used as a face mask! What more could you ask for?! A great kiwi made product from another female led & owned business.
The Herb Farm – Hydrating Overnight Face Mask
If you’re looking for a face mask to help combat dry skin through the winter months, The Herb Farm’s Hydrating Overnight Face Mask is the one! It’s absolutely dreamy and soooo creamy and luscious to apply. What I love about it is that you can wear it while you sleep so you’re getting your beauty sleep in more ways than one! Your skin does its repair work while you sleep and hydrated skin helps this process. Again, a little goes a long way and you only need to apply a few times a week so one jar lasts for ages! Another great kiwi made product from one of our favourite skincare brands.
Frankie Apothecary – Kawakawa Repair Balm
Frankie Apothecary are experts when it comes to sensitive skin remedies and their Kawakawa Repair Balm is expertly crafted using Kawakawa, a native NZ plant with amazing healing properties. We use it to soothe and repair dry & irritated skin, includingrashes, bug bites, sun burn and eczema which Bevan suffers from. This is another great multi purpose product for the whole family including babies, kids and even animals! Frankie is also a family run kiwi business who embrace Rongoa (maori herbal medicine) using only natural ingredients to provide relief for people with sensitive and dry skin.
